In my option, I think Sonic's sprite looks odd considering the angle Sonic looks to be launching at. Maybe use that corkscrew animation you see in 2/3K.

Are you on windows 8? I think game maker games crash on windows 8 when too many sounds play at once. I can't confirm this but I have tried multiple GM games, including one where it would play a sound effect on loop and it crashed.
I can't say this is the problem, but if your on windows 8 and game maker games aren't working, its probably this.

We get to see Megaman's Final Smash in the most spectacular way possible.
I have a feeling that Smash 4 will be the best one out of all.
This guy NEEDS to be the in-game announcer!

Probably every time you turn on your computer.

Sticks. Yep, the new character is called sticks.

Fuck I'm blind.

Why not Espio? He could be quite a unique character, a lot of ninja style moves too!
Here's one sheet I found: http://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/18208/

Put Mario in there!

A real shame you didn't enjoy OoT, I really like it. Its funny I feel the same way about Wind Waker. Everyone says how amazing it is, but I didn't really enjoy most of it.
-
Even less people would use it because no-one wants to pay $14 a month to make a game they can't earn anything from.
-
I don't know who hasn't used that tileset in their fangame at least once or temporarily.

I just wish I knew how to use it.

Oh cool! Any other features like new enemies would be better off being added by the game creator anyhow.
What project will you move onto now (maybe tutorials)? Or are you just gonna have a break.

I think the score should go above the rings. Other than that its great.

I don't really like how the sky looks realistic, but you are going to change it so that OK.
Also the tree trunk looks to basic compared to how detailed the rest of the graphics look.
The grass also looks like it blends in with the background too much.

Well I think it's time I posted something regarding 8-bit remake so people don't think it's dead
I made the bridge pieces bigger so it's easier to stand on the falling pieces. (Ignore the piece that's sticking halfway through the wall)
and a quick mock up of the new tiles I've been creating. (I would appreciate some feedback with these tiles, and if I should have the player stay behind them or not)
The player should definatley stand behind them, especially for the larger circles.

Too bad I have to play these on minimum settings, I really need a good graphics card. Anyway thanks for those links, it's nice to see some people working on stuff with this!

I've always loved changing music in all Sonic games, it was one of the main reasons I played CD so much.

Looks fairly promising, but a little slow for a Sonic game. Not much else to say really.

Back on topic.
Something that bugs a lot of people about fan games is they nearly always start with a tropical zones. I can tolerate this with ROM hacks due to hardware limitations and the difficulty of implementing new art, but a major thing that fan games have going for them is that they are easily modified.
Now this doesn't mean you can't start with a tropical level, just try and think of some alternatives first, or even just combine two ideas.

Moving the camera seemed to have no effect. But I'll give it a go anyway.

Nah I figured out kismet thanks to Handepsilon's tutorial, thanks for the offer though!
Although I could do with a bit of help setting up a 2.5D camera. I added a CameraInfo and got it working with kismet, but the camera is too far zoomed in and facing on the wrong side, anyway to fix this?
-
Will this work via the command prompt in game (Tab) or only though Kismet?
-
You're welcome guys; btw, I'll link to your booths from mine once I figure out the web addresses.
Hmm? Do you want to add ring items to a level via a command? Or grant an amount of rings to the player via a command? There is a new "Give Rings" Kismet node now.
I want to give the player a set amount during gameplay, not add them into the level.

Is this being made on MFF2? Because I have had slight framerate issues on both my PC and a computer at school while playing Chrono Adventure. Not a huge issue but it would be col to see it on a nicer engine. But its not a big deal.
