  1. Don't they say 'Breakfast Time' in the track? And yeah, I think that's the idea (@ your edit). The adventure is being compared to a 'day in the life'. Awoken rudely by the first stage of the boss, then after getting up, having breakfast!
  2. One potential fix for the flash.ocx thing is this: If that Flash file doesn't exist, try reinstalling Flash. However, after looking up that register "D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000", it seems to say it's a Windows Server 2003 register used to blacklist Flash objects, meaning it either doesn't exist or Flash videos are blacklisted and can't be run. In the case of the latter, it implies you're trying to run this on a server. Are you playing it on a school/library/whatever computer? If so, they probably caught on and blocked Flash running in executables. If not, then it means a part of the Flash install has been updated incorrectly, either not creating the register or having tried to install the wrong version of Flash. Here's what I'd try: First, UNINSTALL and then reinstall Flash. How to uninstall Flash: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html Installer (you could prolly do this yourself but... meh): http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/ If this doesn't work, do what that video says: If THAT doesn't work, then one of your registers is buggered somewhere (or some setting has been changed for god knows what reason) and in that case, I'M STUMPED 'cause my computer (Windows 8) doesn't have the mentioned register. And as I said... if you're on a network somewhere, then someone has prolly blocked it so...yeah. </help> KTHXBI <3
  3. Thread relevancy output at maximum!!!! FIRE THE LASERS! Edit: Why does it remove the glasses then put them back?
  4. Scratch my translation, we got it perfected right here.
  5. I've never encountered an 'official' set of the words so there seem to be multiple interpretations of it. My favourite was: The war began, Earth trembling fear! Bold, Brave, and Cold Hearted! The distance grows closer, little by little WOW! The power you possess is incredible! He doesn't stand a chance! Some think it's "Brainy" instead of "Brave", because the "Cold Hearted" it suggests it's talking about Robotnik and calling him "Brave" would be odd. And "The power you possess is incredible" is sometimes heard as "The power he possesses is incredible" but that would then make the last line make no sense. BUT KEEP IN MIND, this is the JAPANESE version so their attempt to create a song in English could just mean it's a poor translation and the words don't really make any sense anyway. (as for the noise in the background, I have no idea) Edit: Also, what does it say it is missing for the cutscenes?
  6. YEEEEAH!! It lives! This was and is still in my Top 3 ATS songs. It's so Industrial and Ominous and now it has an extra layer of awesome. I just loved that feel in the beta of going from a forest to a big scary furnace. This song makes it that much scarier. <3
  7. Toot Toot Sanic Warrior, Daap In Space and Tame, Toot Toot Sanic Warrior, Farever in your Mand. First song I tabbed by myself *tear* HEEEEEY-OOOOO!
  8. Hipster culture can generally be associated with forcing yourself to be anti-mainstream for the sake of following the trend. Unlike the culture they're often mistakenly associated with, Hippies, they don't have any united REASON to be what they are, other than to be 'different' and feel 'special'. Hippies are cool. They have a purpose. Hipsters aren't cool. They have no purpose. They just want attention. I dislike this. Disclaimer: THIS IS NOT HIPSTER THREAD I WAS JOKING BEFORE PLZ DON'T FIGHT ABOUT IT K, LET'S ALL GO TO MY PM INSTEAD YAY SONIC ATS WIN.
  9. HOW DARE YOU IMPLY ATS IS HIPSTER! I would never play a game associated with... the enemy... *shifty eyes*
  10. <3 One day I hope to work 'Wet Whistle' as a zone, in to someone's game.
  11. Ha! Give 'em a break, they've never done stuff like this before and half of them are still in school. I admire them for their aspirations and dedication, even if some parts are... 'lacking'. KEEP IT UP GUIZ. Edit: That's not meant to be insulting to the team, btw. I just mean "everyone was new once and became 'great' by trying" etcetc. <3
  12. It's fun watching people slowly takeover this project.
  13. Hey, I heard there's some controversy in this topic so I decided to make an appearance. LET'S MAKE SOME GAAAAAMES!!! P.S. OMG ALEX YOU LIVE IN THE SAME TOWN AS MY FEMALE HOMEGIRL. If you see 'Clare', give her a slap for me.
  14. LAWL. Not offensive. Just a parody <3
  15. Crystal City is looking a bit more 'urban' than I expected. I always pictured it as being large spires of crystal, like Ko-Metru from 'Bionicle', except Blue instead of white. Like these: Except more densely packed, more of them and varying heights (like a regular city skyline) and with some slightly futuristic city elements (like suspended trainlines going in and out of the buildings). Just... some potential inspiration for you there, in case you're stuck for ideas, lawl.
  16. I love you too <3 Edit: Even though you're learning Java instead of C++ master race.
  17. LOLMACUSERS. Btw, as you probably know, if it has an 'X' at the end, it's probably Microsoft made and Microsoft ONLY (see: DirectX vs the OpenGL master race). To my knowledge, same applies to ActiveX. That canvas 'uncropping' thing is a pain. I used to just put a HUUUUGE black border around animations so if it uncropped, it'd look like it was in a window of its own. (however I was never very good with Flash because I'm a lazy artist that used motion tweening for EVERYTHING). YAY MILD COMPOOPER DISCUSSIONS!
  18. lolyes, I suspect that's how it works. Most non-AAA games do it that way.
  19. lawl, Mac doesn't (properly) support ActiveX (only localised versions that suck ass), that's why it doesn't work on there. Unsure about Linux distros but I assume it's the same problem. I know there are some alternatives but I suspect MMF2 is set up to specifically use ActiveX itself. What was confusing me is that someone made it seem as if running IE ONCE suddenly made the cutscenes work. In that case, I assume they meant just running a .swf by itself, as opposed to the game running it. Windows people having problems most likely have some old crappy browser specific Flash Player install. UPDATE DAT SHIT
  20. lawl, that confused me too. Assuming it's true, all I can think of is that modern IE sets up some directories/registries on first time run (so it can use them itself) that MMF2's Flash playing code references since pretty much every Windows PC has IE. If that's the case: Shame on you, MMF2 Flash Player programmer, that's pretty shoddy. However, I've never used MMF2 and I haven't used IE since Windows XP was the 'in thing'. So... so don't think I know what I'm talking about, lawl.
  21. lawl, I'm using Windows 8. BTS and the beta work fine for me!
  22. Ha, that Act 2 tree style also reminded me of: Which is epic because that was my second favourite game on the Megadrive and that was my most favourite level. I was planning on using a similar design in my FUTURE YET TO BE NAMED Sonic game but I approve of something else using it before me (less work for me!).
  23. <3 p.s. Darth Vader is Sonic's father.
