  1. Awww... Pity... But hey, a better game is a better game...

Depending though on how widespread SAGE advertisement is this year, we may have many new people looking at the game who never saw it before... Though I'm pretty sure most SAGE goers are fairly regular and have seen everything...

Either way, keep up the good work on the game...

  2. Hey, anyone check this out?

    http://www.destructoid.com/destructoid-s-real-life-psychic-e3-2009-predictions--133545.phtml

Also, Retro Studios supposedly will "pleasantly surprise" us in a few hours... http://twitter.com/retrostudios

    What could it be!?!

Lol PG posted it just as I hit post...

I'm too obsessed with Retro Studios for my own good...

Now I'll be sitting through a graduation ceremony speculating...

At least I won't be bored now...

I hate E3 week... I get nothing done...

  3. Nevermind the fact that finding a good place to host a 1gb file is going to be just about impossible. Most of the places with 1gb limits aren't exactly what you'd call "stable hosting". You are going to hit internet bandwidth caps fast and hard.

I'd say make it a torrent release...

Though... I wouldn't have minded hosting this game \ My web server never really gets used to its full anyway, especially in the way of bandwidth. Granted, I'd have to wait until the week before SAGE before I could gauge how much bandwidth to allocate his game (I can most likely guarantee this game 600GB, depending on how many other people accept my hosting offer this year, though assuming 600GB is the case, 150GB would be given to everyone else, and even if traffic to my server to SAGE booths quadruples from what it was last year, I'd still have 50GB left over... and an additional 100GB left over for random use that probably wouldn't get used anyway.)

Regardless of size, since hard drive space means nothing to me these days, I want to play this...

And since you're judging off of your dev work, who knows what this will look like when even compressed in an installer or rar + optimizations...

  4. My team made our Global Game Jam Game with it... though we probably should've just used Construct, MMF, Processing, or just XNA 2D in order to do it...

It's very easy to get stuff on screen, move it around, etc...

This is a decent tutorial to get started. Well, it's what I used...

    http://creators.xna.com/en-US/education/gettingstarted

At the Global Game Jam, we were able to get a shell of our game working, except that making all the assets plus the game took up so much time that we realized we shouldn't have used 3D to begin with... XD

    For hillarity's sake: http://globalgamejam.org/games/materialism-98ms2

I recommend all you guys try to do a GGJ next year... It's held worldwide and it's extremely fun... You meet some great people, developers, and have 48 hours of fun...

  5. Geez, it's like everyone has a Q6600...

nah, I was expecting some new software maybe. Only a 64-bit Explorer. But I'm happy with it. :(<

Oh wait till you try out 64-bit solitaire... It has 2 times the bits of the now ancient 32-bit solitaire...

Nah, you'll get some performance improvements in some areas, but unless you're doing extreme number crunching and monitoring it, you probably won't notice too much of a difference... At least, that's been my experience...

  6. Just finished my Computer Engineering degree and just deferred my grad school acceptance till Spring...

No way in hell can I pay for grad yet... Who knows, maybe I'll decide not to go...

Been hanging out and partying all week...

Sure, I'm waiting for one more grade, but I'm not worried about it...

  7. I noticed that right away, too.

The thing that really set me off was the "The biggest game one person has ever made!". Yeah, way to pat yourself on the back, douchebag.

That, and googling it revealed to me that he actually went on a protest consisting of locking himself in his room for a month to get Nintendo to give him the DS Devkit. I have high suspicions that he was already locked in his room all day anyway.

Except that it was actually a hoax...

  8. I still see no actual reason why anyone should give enough of a damn to bash the guy. He's making a game, and he's bashing Nintendo, big deal.

I wanted to play it for the bashing Nintendo part...

Speaking of which, I still need to put my Wii up for sale on ebay... or just give it to someone as a "gift..." Just need to stop being lazy...

I got up to level 12 on tetrid but failed... it was pretty nifty how it played and looked like classic tetris... something that made it pretty entertaining, (and a nice break from SRW K)

He probably should distribute it on/for flash cards like it seems he's doing now... I don't see much DS homebrew out there...

  9. Was a pretty cool movie. I didn't think I'd get too much enjoyment out of it given that I never read the comics, but it was a pretty cool story... Makes me want to read the comics, though a friend advised against it now...

All he said was giant squid...

It had a nice balance of humor, exploding people, and what I'd consider a non cliche plot...

Well worth getting to the union square theatre 2 hours in advance to get decent seats (even still we were pretty far back on line...)...
