  1. Well, Who can I trust to run my server? You guys mite as well get your stuff backed up because my current connection is slow and unreliable anyways. I'll fix that as soon as I can, but that wont be for awhile. Anywhere from a few months to 6 years.

If I'm going to put someone in my place, you'll need to make it known quick! I'm leaving in half hour.

  2. I'm leaving for the air force and may be unable to continue maintaining my server. So if you have any data you wish to keep, back it up elsewhere by September of this year. I may have it back online some time in the future. I'll leave my server running while I'm in basic training but I can't guarantee that it'll stay running.

  3. I was gonna say that if you can render to texture, you could run your own calculations to map the shadow to the ground always, or make it a separate sprite thats only mapped to the player's x and y positions, and z to the floor below the player.

The second option sounds like it'd be easier to implement, I have GM7 But I still don't know how to do anything with it, otherwise I'd love to help you with it as I've got a good head for working with 3D (Mode 7 Blue Spheres Example Engine), I'm used to MMF2Dev.

I wish MMF2Dev had a 3D engine like this one.

  4. I think the idea is neat. just needs some improvements. Like if possible, Make the fish-eye lens effect just that, but big enough to cover the screen so its not such a narrow point of view. the idea behind the effect in Xtreme as far as I under stand is to get a higher FOV into a normal screen rez like 640x480 or what ever the Sega Saturn had.

    Like this maybe?

Sorry if this stretches the boards.

I'd like to see if that improves anything.

  5. I still Remember when I first saw you on the forums DW. Your avatar used to be a spinning Sonic Heros Model Sonic's head that was modified to look like Shadow's head. If I remember correctly it was on a green background and had eyes that where all black. And Scatta's had that Avatar since as far back as I can remember on the forums. Its like his trademark to me now, I recognize his posts before I even see his name. Ah, you triggered a trip down memory lane with that comment DW, and I thank you.

    On Topic:

I never really played any Capcom games beyond the SNES so, I have no real input. Sounds a lot like some of the reviews I read when Street Fighter tried to make its first jump to 3D.

  6. I know its not important (He said I can show samples, Right?) but here is my first sample logo, its not very tweakable but, what do you think?

All in all, I think it turned out quite nicely. Yes I know it may have too much bevel effects in there for some of you guys to like it much but, so what. I think its cool.

I hope my server holds up.

*looks at server* "Server don't fail me now."

Edit: I've made a new animated version of the above logo.

Download the frames in png format to reconstruct it in your software.

  7. We'll see, the current .emp is simple for me because its actually just the List Object Save format with a modified extension name on it. I didn't have to code a reading/writing process for EMP. If someone wants to help me make it better, contact me and we'll talk about shearing the source data and credits. Also, I did give EMP a small bit of support for .ASX stream files, but it has the be the one in INI format. It can't be the .ASX that comes in HTML format, although the one in HTML format points to the one that's in INI format.

Take charge of your media playback!

This is EMP, a lite yet powerful media player (For Windows only) made in MMF2Dev and powered by DirectX (via the Direct Show object). Enjoy your music, and not the sometimes long wait times caused by other media player memory hogs like Windows Media Player 11. I know there are several other lite media players out there on the web, but none quite like this one.

Enjoy this free program, its only 653KB uncompressed, and uses an average of 1.62MB of RAM at runtime, even with a huge playlist! Is that impressive or what!? XD

Just drag, drop and play! Its that easy.

Feedback is welcome, feature suggestions too.

Edit: Update! I fixed the shuffle mode bug!

Edit2: Updated! basic video support added.
