  1. Hello all,

    This is a game that I've been working on since Febuary of last year. It's a Mario fangame. In this game Mario & Luigi have wondered what their parents looked like and it has been a long time since Mario & Luigi last saw their parents. A star called the Mother Star falls from the sky every 200 years but it broke while on impact and now Mario & Luigi must find the four pieces to the mother star and ask their wish. Here's some screenies...

  2. Anyway, I'm pretty happy to see a Mario game here, because I'm not going to MFGG to find them. Does Luigi have a boomerang?

    Yes, Luigi and Mario have the same weapons but if they collide into an enemy they lose the weapon they're carrying

    By the way, Khorney, which text are you talking about? The map text that displays the levels' name or the talking text?

    I haven't got a demo up yet b/c I'm still working on the game.

  4. Hey gang,

    On of the levels in my fangame is crashing when you begin the level. I've checked the events, and they seem to be okay? Could anybody tell me what could the problem be? If anybody who like to see the game open-source just PM me and I'll send you the game.

Well, I know some of you people are having trouble with my game trying to jump while running, is there a better way to detect slopes so the character will be bale to stay to the ground while running and be able to jump? I used Rage's Static Engine and that engine had the same problem. If there's another how-to for TGF, please let me know, it would be really helpful.

  6. I think there was a how-to on the main site long time ago, but how would you make an active object backgound follow the main character? (ex:instead of putting many active object backgrounds, use one and act like it's the bg for the whole level.) See,I'm making an underwater level and I don't want to use many active objects that are water which those objects might crash the game.

  8. Would anybody like to test out my Sonic fangame? I'm halfway finish creating the game, I just need opinions from others and if there are any bugs in this game that I don't know.

    NOTE: If you decide you want to become a beta tester, do not reveal storyline, chaos emerald locations to non-beta testers.

    Is there a way to make a pinball movement as in Casino Night Zone? I know that there's a pinball engine on the main site but it's very buggy. I'm using TGF and static movement for my sonic fangame. If anybody can create a how-to for this, it would help a lot.:)

  10. Okay, this is my upcoming Mario fangame that I'm having problems on. I'm trying to actually code the map movement as Tails' Adventure does. See, Global value 5 is the number to enter levels, and GV 6 is the number that tells you you've completed the level, it will increase everytime you clear a level, and it adds one after you pass a world. Could any of you guys see what I am doing wrong? The game is attached to this post, it's a TGF .gam file BTW.

  11. Does anybody know how you would make Mario throughout a map? Like he does in SMB3. I used a how-to someone made but it required active objects for him to stop at points, and to go along the paths. I'm using TGF by the way.

    If it isn't possible, is it possible to make a map movement like on Tails' Adventure? Move to level and level, and not move when level isn't completed.

  12. Is there a way to create a boss that can do different things? (for example, jump, spindash, etc.) Basically, how Knuckles fights in Hidden Palace Zone.

    I use platform movement AI for the enemies but would I need to use a static movement for a boss-AI for these events to happen?

  13. Yeah, I was thinking of changing the name of the zone to "Lost Gourge Zone" or "Lost Canyon Zone". I think the graphics look ok to me Rael, I guess different strokes for different folks I guess.

  14. These are some screenies from Crusty Canyon Zone act 1 which I completed today in my game STH:Origin of STH2. I gave Wood Zone and Desert Zone different names because Wood Zone and Desert Zone sound plain.

    If you're wonder what that emerald shape is doing under the HUB, that is to let you know that you got the emerald in each zone, when you get the zone's emerald, outline will turn into the emerald you got.
