    well first off, you need to see our teaser, which we are showing off at the Dubai Comic Con currently! (which you can visit april 3-5th if you're in the area by chance! I won't be there, but our team lead will.)

    Out Quest is a scifi RPG set on the snowy, cloud-ridden planet H-5, where you play as the Adviser. You have been contracted by Galactic Sunrise to fix this planet's issues and make it a hospitable place. As Adviser, you can accomplish this in many ways, via combat (Turn Based Strategy style), exploring the planet, handling diplomatic and economic matters, and many different things!

    We are currently very early in development, so things aren't really that well documented. We'll be working on that, but feel free to ask questions!

  2. I was gonna hold off posting when I first saw this cuz I would have been rude as all hell but I'm glad everyone else has said the same things I would have!

    But yes, this is pretty awful, you have a long way to go before you start trying to do anything fancy

Stopping walks for autism would just end up causing this to happen more. a large number of autistics are basically shunned and thrown in a corner because their family refuses to get them any sort of treatment. it is very possible to get an autistic person to function just as well as anyone else with the right help, and if not that far then atleast get them to a state where they can communicate well enough to tell how they are feeling.

    are you REALLY sure you want to propose such a fucking offensive concept as removing the means for making it aware that THESE ARE PEOPLE WHO NEED ACTUAL HELP?

Sonic Heroes, Sonic Colors, Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed. granted each time they added some fucking pointless garbage ontop that ruined the point of listening in the first place. all I can see with Colors is them throwing their hands up in the air and saying 'fuck it, the sonic speed shit worked fine let's just do that'

  5. This is possibly the silliest argument against the sonic franchise's success I've ever seen. The gameplay is all that really matters when you consider that the games are about a bunch of cartoon characters! (Sonic 06 and Black Knight notwithstanding) All that matters is the style and presentation. Pushing the graphics on level 5 doesn't make a real difference and never has aside from adding to the presentation. I mean look at Ratchet and Clank, the benefits it gained from better rendering were largely used to enhance what was already there for it's style.

  6. that's not really their issue. their business model is explicitly about sequels and NEVER make any new franchises. if one is brought to the table, a development version will be made with a tiny amount of money and will be canned shortly canned later. Inafune challenged this by having 2 projects (Dead Rising and Lost Planet) go wayyy over that budget in a very quick amount of time, having nearly half the games done by the point the execs took notice. he took a rather extreme gamble and succeeded far beyond anyone's expectation, but the execs still hated him and wanted him to just stay out of their model.

    The execs hate inafune because he constantly pushed them to evolve. It was working in their favor, but it was completely against the business practices they had followed since the very foundation of the company. in short, he kept pushing and they eventually pushed back, regardless of the fact he was in the right.

    I'm so fucking tired of retro bullshit it's not even funny. if you're gonna do stuff with pixel art, atleast try to make it with the full extent of it's capability, not EVEN MORE 8-BIT GRAFX

    read the kickstarter page, they've entirely removed everything that could be connected to him or any piece of copyrighted of material present in the game. I mentioned that already, actually.

    Barkley 1 was an amusing mash of 90s basketball and the wretchedness of the RPG Maker community. I'm not sure why, but this sequel just seems to be a try hard project or something. It just doesn't seem to have the same spirit as the first game.

    to be fair, the initial trailer for Barkley 1 looked like complete shit and was something you weren't expecting to have ANY fun with. I mean, THEY MADE A SEWER DUNGEON FUN AND INTERESTING, which is more than you can say about any other RPG. the other thing to note is Barkley 1 never faltered in taking it's premise seriously despite the humor involved. There weren't any real jokes involved the entire way through, just the absurdity of it all. So far, I feel they've captured that and more with this initial pitch (complete with spinning doritos bag on the computer screen).

    they're using kickstarter to generate enough money to make this game happen. it's an Action RPG with completely original graphics, characters, storyline, and everything inbetween. The planned Feature List includes, but is not limited to (taken shamelessly from the SA thread):

    Things Change Over Time - People, places and quests change over time; the things you experience might be completely different from what your friends experience because you did them at different times. The official Big Idea behind Barkley 2 is that everyone will have a different game - things changing over time is the backbone of this idea.

    Large, Open World - The Necron 7 is a large, open environment with dozens of areas to explore. There are things to find in every corner and secrets everywhere - this is a game all about exploration.

    if this doesn't convince you, take a look at the kickstarter page and video! the work done so far is absolutely fantastic, and these guys have proven they can make good games!
