Just cleared the game tonight, will avoid spoilers, but I definitely caught shades of Cave Story as the game went on. I also appreciated the homage to Gunstar Heroes' Seven Force boss fight. Looking forward to Milla's adventure mode, as well as to Torque and Spade's gameplay as well. Pics and Pixels or Lange, could you please ask Strife to get in touch with me? More playing, the Fortune Night boss battle was absolutely fantastic, and stage 4 is incredibly creative.

I have to say that Strife and his team know this, but they have a lot to be proud of. The game so far is bloody fantastic, and I can totally imagine playing this on my 32X. (Totally not being facetious here, this feels like a professional grade platformer)

Not going to lie, with recent failures like Rival Threads and other gaming projects grossly underestimating budget I'm a bit worried about backing games. Timespinner does look really good though and hits all the right notes for me. If it comes close to Vita stretch goal I'll consider throwing down some money.

Given how many mechanics rely on the gameplay, such as enhanced aiming and fast travel, I doubt that any local play will be available. That said, Nintendo has said the Wii U is capable of running 2 gamepads at once, so who knows!

The real winner of E3: The gamers. Final Fantasy Type-0 is getting an HD remake on the PS4 and XB1 IN ENGLISH! Zelda Williams teased something a few weeks back, so we'll see if anything comes from that as well.

Nintendo's conference was funny, had some great games, and some substantial teasers. Xenoblade Chronicles looks fantastic. Hyrule Warriors also looks great, and we got a release date for Super Smash Bros 3DS, as well as Palutena joining the roster. All 3 system companies have had great showings, and I think the next year of gaming is going to be pretty fantastic.

Both major companies had excellent showings today. I'm a Sony guy, but really as long as every company is doing good it means good things for the industry as a whole. XB1 has some great looking exclusives coming out, and now that Kinect has been cut from the system I'm tempted to invest in one eventually. On the Sony side HOLY FUCK REMASTERED GRIM FANDANGO. I audibly screamed in delight when I heard that name, and No Man's Sky looks truly incredible. Sadly I'll be at work tomorrow during Nintendo's Direct, but here's hoping for some more good stuff. Guys, this is a great time to be a gamer.

Well guys, here's a preview from GameXplain, as usual the narrator sounds like he's talking with his mouth full of caramel. Anyway video here. http://youtu.be/5YWdDO5jVeA Food for thought: The game honestly looks a lot like Jak II, and while I don't think that's a good thing especially with the heavy focus on combat. Subsequently rings have been turned back into a health bar. Video reports a lot of slowdown and pacing issues. I guess it could be a lot worse. Every character has an energy whip, and all 3 bosses shown involve using it to grab items and throw them at the boss. Not a good sign as far as variety is concerned. Still, watch the video for yourself. 3DS Version http://youtu.be/DrOUSgBkVzM Apparently this one fared a little better. Notably Amy isn't playable as is instead replaced by Sticks. The bulk of the gameplay seems focused more on 2D exploration, albeit at a slower pace. For those who get a hard on whenever NOSTALGIA is mentioned, the Sea Fox makes a return to the game as well. Otherwise the 3DS version seems more Metroidish, with lots of blatantly colored blocks and doors to help you. Also new villain that is going to inspire way too much bad fanart.

For the most part I'm finding the game enjoyable, for the longest time item distribution seemed more balance and the AI fair, but the second I hit 150cc things just started taking a dive. I'm still enjoying the game, but I'm more focused on beating time trials and staff ghosts at the moment.

Ahh "Sticks" to the list of the things that are no longer safe to google.
