Good question! Probably not until after Persona Q though.
-
Diablo diehards will tell you to avoid it, but I think Diablo 3's console versions lend itself well to the good ol' pick up and play style. I know I plan on picking up the PS4 version today and importing my character from PS3.
There is some lore that you might miss, but all you need to know is kill stuff.

Listen, I know you're young and probably a bit inexperienced, but I've been observing your behavior here and it really isn't a fit for this forum. At your age you should at the very least be in a beginners grammar course. Please clean up your posts and behavior or I will be forced to limit your posting until you are older. My Opinion Is The Physics Are Not Correctly Bingo Fall Instatnly And Is Based On Freedom Planet

To SFGHQ members, yes this is the exact opposite policy from the old days. It will be okay. You can report this now. I will add though that frivolous uses of the report button will result in warnings and bans.

As I stated in the "SAGE THAT TUNE" thread, I am incredibly pleased and overjoyed with the response to these "open format." Kiddo and I discussed this live during the SAGECast today, and this is most certainly an impressive effort. That said, there can only be one winner.
The winner is r543's Chaos Zone. Kiddo and I agreed that it's unlike anything seen in a Sonic game before, and truly lives up to the name of Chaos. That being said, it is with hope and enthusiasm that I see all of these entries in a playable form some day.
Once again, thank you for entering these contests, and I promise there will be many more on the way.
-
I'm sorry, but you missed the deadlines (and extended deadlines) for both contests.
-
Unfortunately Light you were past the deadline, and Kiddo and I already picked and announced winners earlier today. (It was during a Live cast that involved me playing Sonic 1 and 2 blindfolded.)
That being said, I am pleased to announce that Chaoscollector's Astral Heights won the "Stage that Tune" contest. Honestly though, I am pleased with everyone's performance with this contest. The idea was a little on the abstract side, but I'm glad everyone was able to understand and present their own variations of a level that fits "Sun Skip."
I would hope some day I might get to experience these levels in a playable form.

In the interest in creativity the longest I can give you is until 5 PM TODAY, aka when I get off work and will be getting home to judge stuff.
So we'll do that. Final deadline extension: 5 PM Central time, TODAY August 8.

I'm thinking we're going to delay RAGE until the next SAGE act 1. This one didn't get a whole lot of planning. Keep the theme in mind though people!
-
I appreciate everyone's entries, but today I'm going to announce that I'm extending the deadline until tomorrow, Friday August 8 at NOON Central time. I'll be going ot TMNT tonight and thus won't be able to kick of judging anyway.

Just a friendly heads up guys. The deadline for my two main contests is arriving soon. If you want a shot at a copy of Freedom Planet you should hurry up and enter! All you need to do at minimum is write up a level or special stage idea. We have some really brilliant ideas so far, so I'd really like to see what else this community has to offer.

Seems legit to me. I think you're just being a batch.

ALRIGHT GUYS? KNOW WHAT'S BACK? IT'S RAGE! You know the drill right? Make a bad fangame, post it here, we all get a good laugh?
As per past RAGEs, this year's RAGE also has a theme, so I present to you:
This year's theme is a familiar face from earlier in the year, Kiddo's Hardworth the Horse! Feature him in your game however you want. However he must be in your game in some way shape or form. Post your entries here and we'll end the contest sometime this weekend. No hard deadlines. Grand prize is bragging rights and possibly something I have lying around. (Freedom Planet will NOT be a RAGE prize)

Thanks for the quick entry. Care to add any extra descriptors or explanations? It can help your chances with me and the judges.

Post your entries for "Special Stage Design" here. Remember all entries must be submitted by THURSDAY AUGUST 7 AT 12 NOON CENTRAL TIME.
Good luck to everyone!

Alright kids? Who wants to win a copy of Freedom Planet? Despite what some folks like Arctic Fox and Neo Fire Whatever say, the game is really great and you should be playing it, and with some help from Strife and your creativity you can in fact win a copy for yourself! Want to know how? Of course you do, so here goes!
Contest 1: "STAGE THAT TUNE"
You know what I love? Good music! And while most music done to the levels theme, this week we're going to do it in reverse. First off, listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nljnLI5fBw
Listening? Good. There's your stage music, and this goes without saying BUT FOR THE LOVE OF ILA DO NOT ILLEGALLY DOWNLOAD OR PIRATE THIS. I have a copy of the album and can listen to it while judging your level myself. Anyway, this contest is open format which means (or at least which I mean) that your entry can be anything. Design documents, playable level, a nice set of custom graphics, or even just a few mock up screen shots. Judging will not be based on what form your entry takes, but rather on how comprehensive your idea is and how well your stage fits to "Sun Skip"
Contest starts now and entries must be sent in by Thursday August 7 at 12 noon central time. There will be a thread to post your entry to in the SAGE Forum starting next week. Winners will be announced during the SAGE "Hangover" that tends to occur. Probably on Saturday the 9 though.
Contest 2: "SPECIAL STAGE DESIGN"
This one is pretty simple. Design a special stage. Once again I stress that this is also open format so entries can be design documents, a crude napkin doodle, playable, or any other ways that you can get your idea across. Originality will be a key factor for the winner of this one.

Contest 3: "WHEN ila GETS BORED"
I think that one is pretty self explanatory. At some point I'll probably have nothing better to do so I'll start up a game in SAGE Chat. It will most likely be 20 Questions. Get your Google searches ready because the answer most likely won't be Sonic related. Or it might be WHO KNOWS?
I'll also have 2 more Freedom Planet Steam keys that will be given out whenever I take control of the SAGE Cast or Stream. Times will be completely random but keep in mind I'm in the central time zone.
Other notes: Prizes have been generously donated by Strife, being a dick will get you disqualified from any contests that I hold, and Bob Dole.

Strife says that he'll be happy to get back to you once he's finished attending to business with Press, emails and stuff :3
Thanks!

Here's something interesting, some art from other characters in the Sonic Boom universe. Much to my shock and dismay, they actually look pretty good compared to the tape and stretchy legs squad. http://blogs.sega.com/2014/07/23/meet-characters-in-the-sonic-boom-universe/

Just cleared the game tonight, will avoid spoilers, but I definitely caught shades of Cave Story as the game went on. I also appreciated the homage to Gunstar Heroes' Seven Force boss fight. Looking forward to Milla's adventure mode, as well as to Torque and Spade's gameplay as well. Pics and Pixels or Lange, could you please ask Strife to get in touch with me? I need to discuss a few SAGE related things with him.
