  1. So yeah it's been revealed that it is a new Typing of the Dead game and has been released today on steam actually. It's called "Typing of the Dead: Overkill" and you can save 50% off your purchase of the game. I honestly didn't even know about this game until this news was brought up the other day, but i'm one of the unfortunate Sega fans who have yet to own a Dreamcast... Couldn't have come at a better time of the year though for sure. :P

  2. Mario is alright I suppose, I do enjoy playing Super Mario Land as it is my favorite game in the franchise. Of course growing up with Sonic I've always loved those games more as I felt that they were much faster than the Mario games. I also enjoy the Wario Land series as well and find them to be pretty bizarre yet funny at the same time. Can't say Mario is my favorite Nintendo franchise as that title goes to Pokemon, but it's better than Donkey Kong IMO. (I just really couldn't get into that franchise, I played the third one if memory serves me correct at a friend's house but it just wasn't that fun...)

  3. I honestly don't care about the reviews myself, and do plan on getting the game. I played it back during Sonic Boom and I found it to be fun. Plus I usually don't go by game reviews and I like to try games out and give them a chance before looking at another person's view. I also don't like IGN and how they pretty much don't like any Sonic game except for the classics and always have something bad to say about the franchise. >_> But from what i've seen the fans themselves of the franchise like the game, whereas the reviewers dislike it. But it all comes down to personal preference in the end.

  4. Some of the songs on the soundtrack are bad, but others are epic. My favorite is probably Sky Road Zone 1 next to Frozen Factory Zone 1. Windy Hill also grew on me as I didn't really care for the track when it was first leaked months ago. I'm also going to try and pick up a copy tomorrow on it's release date but I have a few things I have to pay such as rent on the first so I might have to wait for the game sadly. >_> Despite the reviews that were giving, I played the game at Sonic Boom this year and I thought it was fun so forget all the bad reviews I'm getting the game. :P

  5. I've never really checked these out before, but these were pretty funny. I still don't think it was best for the creator to start a Kickstarter project since she doesn't own the rights to Sonic and would definitely get in huge trouble by making a profit off of this unless she gets permission from Sega themselves... It's one thing to make these for fun but it's another thing to start a project on something you don't technically own. :\

  6. So I have Y version, I only have 6 badges but I just helped Abomasnow and defeated Mable my favorite Team Flare Scientist. My team consists of Lv. 57 Blaziken, Lv. 53 Greninja (nicknamed Nightwing), Lv. 53 Talonflame (nicknamed Robin), Lv. 52 Snorlax (nicknamed Tommy), Lv. 52 Lucario, and finally a Lv. 53 Venusaur. I'm also breeding my Japanese Froakie with it's hidden ability, and will be trading them later once I get some more. (Some of them ended up having Torrent, so all together I believe I have 4 Froakies currently with their hidden ability.)

  7. My favorite game(s) of all time in the sonic franchise are actually two games Sonic CD and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. The two games are tied because I feel that both had the best gimmicks and soundtracks out of all the Sonic games. FIrst off Sonic Cd introduced a gimmick that is yet to come back in a Sonic game, the time travel gimmick. It's cool to have the level itself change just by passing one object and gaining enough momentum. From a technical standpoint it's amazing for when it came out as well, and is the largest Sonic game to date still I believe. (In all it technically has 72 levels!)

Sonic 3 and Knuckles is another wonderful game that is tied with Sonic CD because it introduced Knuckles in such a way that made him to be so cool. It was a wonderful marketing ploy Sega did and since Sonic 3 was released Sonic got his first rival. The soundtrack for both games is another feature I love. S3K produced sound on the Genesis that wasn't heard in a Sonic game before, the improved sound driver and the ability to swap banks for the various different drum samples and songs that were programmed in was impressive. Plus Sonic CD had CD quality audio, yet another feature that was new at the time. The Japanese soundtrack is my favorite btw. So yes, these are the reasons why these games are my favorite of all time and why I simply cannot pick one over the other. :)

  8. I'm very nervous right now as I finally confessed about my gender on a few forums i've joined. For years i've been lying about my gender, so it's time I stopped lying. Also this isn't in the sonic community as I've been pretty honest about everything on Sonic forums. :V

  9. I've been playing through Mega Man Legends 2 and I've been having trouble getting that darn S license. >.< I would like to obtain it and explore the ruins outside Kimotoma. There's also a few treasure chests I skipped over while exploring Kimotoma's ruins, and I can't seem to figure out how to get past the stupid fire trap blocking the area. >.>

  10. Mine is defintely Sonic the Hedgehog as it was the game that not only got me into the series, but got me into video games at the young age of 4. I remember a time where I couldn't make it past Green Hill Zone and when I finally did I was so happy, until I saw the lava in Marble Zone. xD I remember when my cousins told me the level select code and I kept it in my memory still to this day I know that code by heart. After they told me the code I went straight to Final Zone, that was a HUGE mistake at the time. :V

  11. I really love video game music the most, but I also love classic house music, and many forms of rock. My favorite band of all time is probably Blink 182, but I have many favorite bands such as Journey, Iron Maiden, Seether, and many more. I've currently been obsessed with Blink 182 especially since they just released their new EP called "Dogs Eating Dogs."

  12. Hey what's up everyone, i'm Ravenfreak. I'm currently 22 years old and have been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog since I was 4 years old. I've been part of the sonic scene since late 2008 when I first joined Sonic Retro, but got into hacking in late 2009. I love to hack the 16 bit games as well as the 8-bit games but I hack Sonic 2 SMS more than anything else. I know a few programming languages but not too much to actually make something worthwhile. I did program a basic command line calculator in C++ before though. :P Any who that's me in a nutshell. :V
