  1. Not that my special stage was that original to begin with, I'm curious if you're going to be changing the sprites at all? Just so that our special stages don't look...identical. I've gotten all mine done and I really don't want to start from scratch

    Now this is looking MUCH better! That cliff in the background though, is it only behind that one big cloud? If so, that's a good perspective shot. Otherwise it should lose more color to appear further away.

    Hey nefault, thx XD, about the big cloung, no, this is only a test background and, the background moves, when you move the character :tgrin:

    It's a fan game. They already look similar and in most cases stolen from Sega. Totally a non issue. If you want something original looking don't make fan games.

    Oh yea. but, i think every fan-game creator have one "original" ideia for your game, so...

  2. Looking pretty good so far Cleberson. Though if you are going to make changes, I hope that includes getting a different background for the special stage, it looks kinda scary and compared to the environment around the player, it looks unfitting. I'm also not sure about the super dark horizon line, i think you should lighten it up a bit. That's my advice to you as far as the design aspect, other than that I can't wait to see how this engine works!

    Over the past year, I've been trying to find the perfect design for my fan game's logo. I think I found it.

    Hey, thanks! ^^ Yeah, i know, the background will change, the "black" horizon will disappear, and the hud will be completed today!, its only a basic "test stage" for the engine, because i will use this for the Special Stage of a classic sonic game project who i working, and a bonus stage for Tails in Sonic Evolution (advanced xD), soo.. much things need a change xD

    Oh, and the third logo for your game, looks amazing!, its very good, and combines with your game XD, i like it ^^

  3. Now i really think is my pc, because, i picked one backup who i got in 26/03/2013 and, have the same problem, who is very strange because, i remember when i created this backup, all is ok... But how this is happen? If this problem persist, i only continue the game when i got a new computer (in 2014 or something...)

  4. The path you use is relative though (./Save), so it should still work.

    Unless you're working from a read-only medium, that is...

    Try setting just a plain absolute path like C:\save.ini or something, see if that works.

  5. Have you tried checking out your ini file, wherever is it written? See if the values are correctly written on the file (just open the ini with notepad.)

    Everything still ok, i think this problem is because i change it the mfa file from your original folder. Changed why? a PC problem :/

    soo now, with a new PC, this problem has been appeared.

  6. You just said "does work". I'm guessing you meant "doesn't" work?

    There's not much to estimate from what your code shows. Things seem right here... How about you click the INI object in the event editor bar so that MMF2 only shows you events related to it? See if there's any other events you missed.

    It was the first thing I tried searching but found nothing wrong... I'm worried.

  7. There's not much to work on in here, but let's go:

    I assume your Global String K (which I guess must be a profile name or something) is properly set before you try this, right?

    If it's not, then that might be the reason.

    Try this - set the paths to appdir$+"\levelname.bin" instead of your current expression and see if it works.

    Also, I don't understand the "Always set value lives to item lives" event. Why is that in there? Is "value lives" an alterable value? Or is it pointing to the inbuilt MMF2 lives counter?

    Hey ^^ weellllll, the "lives" (is life) is a alterable value, and the item. They are same names.

    EDIT: Ok, the code does work :( also i have tried this:

    appdrive$+appdir$+"LevelName.bin" = syntax erro

    appdrive+appdir$+"save/LevelName.bin" = code accepted, but does work.

  8. Well, last month i got a new computer, for my and my dad use. I picked my Sonic evolution mfa file and putted it in my personal folder, after i started the game, i see the Sonic life. From 35 to 00. VERY STRANGE, because, before, the life display 35, because this is what i get in gameplay. but, now display 00, and when i got a life, the game dont save. See how the code is:

    EDIT: EVERYTHING IN GAME, have this problem :(

In december, my MMF2 Developer got a problem (all extensions has disapeared from the list), I uninstalled, and reinstalled one week after that event, in first, i open my Sonic Evolution MFA and when i click Run in the menu frame, it runs normally, but when i open in the GAMEPLAY FRAME (or something like that), it gives an error, the runtime stop and i dont know how fix this, please help, or Sonic Evolution wont be conclued ):

    Well, when i discovered this error, in first, I thought would pass, but, no, still here, please help!.

    Original engine used to build the game: Sonic Worlds (0.5 - spin platform)

    Frames: 54 (Gameplay, loading frames, menu, missions)

    Size: 625 MB

    Extensions used: 13

    P.S: Before the list problem, the game runs always when i need.
