I like the new MC. Although I hope he actually has a personality and voice this time around. The silent protags are getting boring...and what is even the point if spin offs and anime adaptions make them talk and flesh out their character anyway? Just include it in the game already! Hope they reveal his name and his friends soon.

And unlike the GBC, games won't be backwards compatible. At least with the Gameboy Colour you could still play games on an older Gameboy, there were only a select few that had the "only for GBC" label on them.

I still have my original 3DS that's working just fine. I see no need for an upgrade. This could have been their chance to make the 3DS region free like the DS was, but nooo they still insist on a shitty region lock! It's bad enough I have to buy a US 3DS because companies really hate PAL countries. I don't want to have to buy this stupid thing for exclusive games too! Seriously, get your shit together Nintendo.

So Adachi got confirmed for Ultimax. He's a bonus character that comes with your pre-order and has his own character episode. I would have been hyped for him, if not for the fact he's stealing Terumi from Blazblue's entire gameplay schtick which seems out of character for someone like Adachi. So instead, my attention is focused on Persona 4 Golden's Marie, who will be the first DLC character after the game is out. I loved her character in Golden, so I'll definetly be maining her.
What are your thoughts on the new DLC characters?

So I bought Pokemon Y a few weeks back out of boredom, despite already having X. I wanted to go through the story again with a new team anyway. So I booted it up, and to my surprise it already a Speed Boost Torchic and a Protean Froakie on it. What luck! It also had a Sylveon, which is hard to get so early. I'm gonna meet up with my friend next weekend to help me transfer them so I can start a new game and transfer back. This is great!

Sonic Australia is holding a big meet in Sydney Park on Saturday June 28. There will be a sausage sizzle and many Sonic themed foods! There will be competitions and a raffle on the day as well as various Sonic activities. Sonic himself will be there personally so everyone can wish him a Happy Birthday and watch him cut the cake!
We are also taking suggestions for giveaway prizes on the day, so if you have any ideas for merch let me know!

How about a bump for the new year?
So the comic finished up this week...what are people's thoughts on the final strip? Did they pull it off well, or could they have done better?
For me, I'm kinda disappointed. I was expecting a really spectacular finale with Super Sonic, but all they did was poke fun at Doomsday's level design. The Knuckles part was kinda lame as well.
I really hope those exclusive strips are released online in some way. Would really want to see what they're about. I'm also hoping the creators miss working on Sonic one day, and decide to make a new series.

Still playing Animal Crossing, but recently I got Cthulhu Saves the World for Christmas, and I've been playing that lately. Everyone who has Steam, go buy it. Now. It's only $3 and it's an indie game to boot.

Currently playing through Animal Crossing: New Leaf for 3DS. It's been great fun these past few weeks.

Sonic Boom Video Game (Wii U/3DS)

So I played the Sonic Boom demo last Friday at a gaming expo. I played both versions. Here are my thoughts on Rise of Lyric:
I played the cavern level on the Wii U version with Sonic and Amy. The game is not clear on what you have to do or where to go. And the chase section while automated, you still have to use the control stick otherwise you die. I died randomly multiple times
There are times where I had to switch characters, but when I did switch they were always caught up in pieces of the level and just died.
The 3DS version is just as bad. I played a race level. Sonic is slow as fuck. The entire race relies on you hitting dash pads to go fast. And even then, you're not fast for long. You slow down eventually.
I played an Adventure level as well. There were so many sections for Tails I honestly thought I was using the wrong character. There was a parth of Rings seems to be designed for Light Dash, but Sonic can only do some weird air boost thing by holding X.
It's a shame to see the series go this way. but I guess Sega doesn't even care anymore, it's all about money to them.
It's...honestly the biggest piece of shit I've ever played. I can tolerate a lot of shit and I even tolerated 06. But this? This is beyond 06 levels of bad. The series is dead to me now. I give up. Sonic's nothing more than a cheap cash cow now. RIP Sonic the Hedgehog.
