So judging from an earlier thread, a lot of folks around here aren't too big on the Archie series, but I think we can all agree that as far as the art goes, Tracy Yardley really brings a lot to the table and has done some of the best artwork for the comic, bringing his own style and look to the characters while still keeping them in model with their game counter parts and bringing a pleasing aesthetic to the comic as a whole. However, it came to mine and a friend's attention that despite this he was still having some trouble making ends meet. Tracy himself puts it better than I can. So, the plan is this. Me and FTA (of FindTheComputerRoom, also formerly of HellFireComms and occasional BrainScratchComms guest), and hopefully a few of our pals in the area are going to get together to host a charity stream for a man who has definitely helped to improve the series image, quite literally. On April 19th, at around 3 PM EST at twitch.tv/ftcr69 (ch'yeah) we'll start a stream up. Throughout the stream a 2 hour interview between FTA and Tracy will air in half hour chunks (the entire interview will be available uninterrupted in full sometime after the stream). In between those chunks we'll be playing through some of Tracy's favorite games, and also playing together in multiplayer Sonic modes, and altogether just having a good time (unless we play Shuffle). Of course, for donating there are some cool rewards on the table, most generously offered up by Tracy himself. Just about everything is signed, there's original artwork for pages of the comic, a few issues of the comic, a few paper trades of the comic, a couple Jazwares figures, a signed Sonic:Genesis hardcover book, and more. The prizes will be tiered with the donation amount, which we'll be explaining more closer to the stream, and anyone who donates into that tier will be entered in a raffle drawing. Having seen it first hand the original page artwork is especially cool and probably the coolest item for fans of Tracy and the comic as a whole. (A few of the original pages up for grabs) We're trying just to keep this within the Sonic community. There should be a post on Sonic Retro and The Sonic Stadium this week to help spread the event, but if you any of you guys and gals know of anyone who'd like to swing by and hang out, please let them know! Even if you can't donate we should be having a blast. I need this game. Between customizable move sets, COLOR GAME TV 15, and every stage having a Final Destination variant (among all the other new things) it's definitely gotten me excited about video games. I really want Greninja and Sheik to duke it out. With Villager and Little Mac as fighters (and Sonic returning) this Smash is pretty much bringing all my oddball requests I've had since age 7 into reality. Now, if we can get Shulk from Xenoblade and Ray M.K. II from Custom Robo in here I'm not sure I'll ever need another Smash Bros. Also everyone hates the idea of it for some reason but I'm really hoping the Pacster joins the fray. Video games, man. Phew.

Turns out it was some kind of translation error or something, and this was actually just speculation from a magazine. I'd say it's safe speculation regardless though I'm unsure about it being shown this year.

Yeah, for as long as it took to come out, I figured it was going to be a big grand stage, especially since we're talking about the Zelda name here.

This thread reassures me that basically no one has anything to say about this game. Can't blame them. UNTIL NOW!!! Legend of Zelda DLC finally hit. The Incredible's Facebook page posted this caption on a picture: My bets are on it following TS3's steps in that the amount of real time since the last film will translate into the movie itself.

If it makes you feel any better, Planes and Planes 2: Plane Harder are Disney Toon productions, not Pixar technically. I haven't seen Planes but I'm sure someday I'll break down and buy it since I've got every other Pixar movie on Blu-Ray. Cars 3 is a sacrifice I'll take for an Incredibles 2. To me though it's just even more torturous that there isn't a new Pixar movie this year (although there is a new Monsters Uni short in front of Muppets Most Wanted), but I am pretty excited about The Good Dinosaur for next year. It's just a year without a new movie from them feels weird. So much Pixar. This makes 6 films announced now.

Yeah I think I'll just be keeping a cautious eye on this while hanging on to my copies of the first and second games. I do like the isometric view being back though, I always vastly preferred that over the 3D view that RCT3 (and Zoo Tycoon 2 by extension) had.

This gave me even more confidence that the cartoon is going to be great. I'll need to either see a lot more of the game, or get my hands on it for myself before forming an opinion but I'm definitely very open to it.

I doubt I'd be able to make this, but really happy to see Cody and Jerry are gonna perform live. Hung with them at Boom and they were really cool guys, that's awesome for them.

Diddy Kong was a pretty unique character in Brawl so I'm glad to see him back. His game basically revolves around littering the field with bananas and racking up damage with his quick moves. I don't recall him having too much power in regards to finishing other characters so it was kind of a frantic assault with him. At least, the way I used him. Either way, awesome. And Little Mac is even cooler.

I was expecting discussion to explode here, and all there is is a drawing of buff Knuckles, I love it. The moment they said it was a sub-franchise I was absolutely fine with it. Bring on Boom.

I can't wait for my favorite franchise to either completely change right before my eyes, or be entirely unaffected by this cartoon. I'm not even sure I want to speculate or put hope into anything, this is just kind of a looming feel I've got.

Yep, that's exactly what was pointed out 2 posts above you. That said I definitely do think it's just damage control. I also think there's no way the third Nintendo exclusive is cancelled or anything, rather that it's just left off the poster. The Toy Fair thing is a place to pimp out your brand right? Lost World shows Sonic as a brand is on the Wii U. Mario & Sonic shows the Olympic brand running still, plus Mario for recognition there. All the while throwing out that Sonic will be appearing on the other new fancy game boxes that just came out (which is frankly pretty assumed anyways). Then the Boom stuff is just what we already knew anyways, so.

Guess I'll have to get a PS4 to play this. Or just wait and see if it's another Lost World situation...

It'd make sense, I think I remember Sakurai musing about Mewtwo's Mega Evolutions too so they could pop up somewhere (maybe an Assist Trophy if he's not playable).
