  1. Meh, I can see what you mean, because I found it hard to pull off elaborate combos in Brawl than in Melee. I assume that in Project M, combos are really easy to pull off. But again, you cannot make your conclusion based off of the demo alone and not the full game itself. Seeing as the game released today, you can get the game and see if your opinion stays the same. If they did not, then I cannot say anything more to change your mind about Smash 4. On a related note, those of you who are spending the next 1 1/2 days glued to their 3DSes are lucky, as I did not get my copy day one. I'm getting my copy on Sunday. At least it will give me time to do an essay for US History, but I digress. Those of you who have the game, what are your opinions on the new modes and new characters?
  2. I'd be down for Shoutbox. Easier to get responses quickly than to refresh every minute to see if somebody responded. no i dont do that ok maybe
  3. I'm calling it now, the eShop will crash day 1 of the release of Smash 3DS. It happened before, and it can certainly happen again.
  4. Well, comparing Brawl and PM/Melee to Sonic 4 and Sonic & Knuckles is not fair, considering that Sonic 4 is a truly bad game, but Brawl is still a good game, but I get what you mean. Did these new feelings about Brawl come after you played PM, or did you have these thoughts after playing Brawl before first playing PM?
  5. Exactly. I've never heard anyone say that any Smash Bros games are bad. Sure, the Smash 64 is archaic compared to Brawl or Melee, but still a very good game on it's own merits.
  6. Oh, so you're one of those people who say that Project Melee is better than any Smash bros game, right? I respect that, man, but when you're in the mindset of PM being better than Brawl or Melee, it downgrades your overall experience of the games. I found that Smash3DS played just exactly like a Smash Bros game, with no control problems whatsoever. It could be because I've never played PM, that I've never experienced how good that mod actually is.
  7. Anybody wanna exchange 3DS Friend Codes? Here's mine: 4227 - 0757 - 5396

  8. Hey, I don't claim that Link's spin slash is the best way to kill someone quickly. I think I should clarify: I use Link's spin slash if I'm in close proximity of my opponent. I would grab, but I'm not really good at grabbing, and I'd shoot arrows for long range.
  9. Link's Up Special always came in handy during Sudden Death matches. Unless someone comes in and smacks Link from above.
  10. I've read reports saying that the circle pad wasn't meant to be played like the analog stick, but that sounds dumb. If there is a Smash game coming out, you would expect everyone to use the circle pad as the analog stick. It's also pretty weird how the circle pad comes off mostly in Nintendo 3DSes, and not XL.
  11. I've heard many complaints not from the game itself, but stemming from the fact that the Circle Pad came off or became loose during many people's playthroughs of the game. Has anyone had this happen to them yet? Anyways, I've tried the demo. Well, not really trying it, but full on obsessed with the demo. My mains so far in the demo is Link and Pikachu. If feels like they improved since Brawl. Villager is fun to play as, as his moves are wacky, yet effective. Mega Man feels very different from other characters. The Mega Man that I'd imagine him to be would be along the lines of the Mega Man from Super Smash Flash 2: http://mcleodgaming.wikia.com/wiki/Mega_Man_(Super_Smash_Flash_2) Even though Mega Man is different, I still like playing as him. I like how he insta-charges his buster when you do the Forward Smash, and the Spike being the Hard Knuckle. Overall I enjoy the demo a lot, and will get Smash 4 day 1.
  12. Heh. Sakurai thinks that having a demo released 3 weeks before it releases will hold us over until then. He's a genius.
  13. Don't you think that's a little bit of an overstatement? I mean, Nintendo has been putting out games that most of us consider great games (i.e. Fire Emblem Awakening, Link Between Worlds, Pokemon X and Y), and will release games that will be good (i.e. Smash Bros. 4, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2). Nintendo is way better than Capcom, because at least they are not cancelling games left and right.
  14. Finished writing a 1-Page Essay for AP English Language class. Now I can sit back and watch more cat videos.

And cat videos are not my hobby. I prefer listening again and again the awesome sonic music.

  15. Over the years, many of us got to see the likes of the Nintendo 3DS. For the first couple of months, it became one of Nintendo's biggest flops alongside the Virtual Boy (Remember that piece of garbage?). Then massive sparks of innovative games easily made the 3DS the go-to handheld when it comes to games. Immediately 1 year (and a few months) after the launch of the original 3DS, was the launch of the 3DS XL. There's not much to discuss about this one, seeing as the only thing to discuss is the larger battery size, memory size, and bigger screens. Sometime down the road, while Nintendo is rolling in the cash gained from the games for the 3DS, they rolled out with the 2DS: The kid-friendly alternative to the 3DS. It's not fold-able, doesn't have 3D, and all at a cheaper price. It can be considered the Kid of the 3DS family. All of that comes down to today. During one of Japan's Nintendo Directs today, they were discussing about new info about certain stuff. One of the info was that Shulk is going to be playable in Smash 4. Shulk: Ey, guys! Didn't expect to see me, did you? What? You did? Oh. And then they unveiled the newest member to the 3DS family: The New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL! The New 3DS and New 3DS XL has a C-Stick (Reminiscent of the Gamecube's C-Stick), 2 second shoulder buttons (Also like the z button acting as a second shoulder button on the Gamecube Controller!), and best of all, has colorful buttons (ALSO like the Gamecube controller!) Satoru Iwata stated that this New 3DSes would support better CPUS so that existing games and future games would perform better. Also, it would sport games that would be exclusively on the New 3DS, and one of the exclusives is a port of Xenoblade Chronicles. Both models would release on October of this year in Japan. So tell me guys, what are your thoughts on this new (No pun intended, I swear) piece of hardware? I am honestly curious. Since many people had opinions on the Status Update section, I figured this needed a proper Forum Topic!
  16. *Looks at leak* Aww man, the leak is real. Damn it. Well, at least we get to kill that stupid Duck Hunt Dog for practice.
  17. Did anyone mention that your artstyle very much resembles Gurren Lagann & Kill la Kill's artstyle? Very impressive drawings and music, dude. Keep it up. (EDIT: Yeah, I typed this before looking at the Gamagoori drawing. Still, very impressive.)
  18. Man, that stinks. Imagine if Christian Whitehead got his hands on the coding for S3&K. He can make some impressive stuff. Although he did say that it's not likely AT THIS TIME. There's always hope.
  19. I don't hate Silver, but he isn't in my top 5 Sonic characters. I gotta say that I like his psychic powers, though.
  20. In that case, I agree with you. In FE: Awakening, Great Lords (Being Chrom and Lucina) have an option of using lances in conjunction with Swords. It would have been neat to incorporate lances into some of tthe attacks with Lucina, but I like Lucina as she is. When I get the game in October (Which is NOT Summer, Nintendo! I'm still mad about that!), I'll test to see if there is ANY difference from Marth and Lucina aside from the obvious Sweet Spots. Thanks for clarifying, dude! I used Roy quite a bit more than Marth (Mainly because I thought that Roy looked much more badass than Marth) in Melee. Although I can understand why people would choose Marth more than Roy.
