If you never played this gamne, it's because Sonic's first real coin-op game didn't receive a very wide release in the US, however, Segasonic got a fair distribution in Japanese arcades. Dr. Eggman isn't after the Chaos Emeralds this time around as he just wants to make Sonic suffer as he's just captured Sonic along with Ray the Flying Squirrel and Mighty the Armadillo. It isn't before long that they break free, but a geyser blasts the three of them to a far off place on the island.
