I'm working on a fan game myself. It's very early in development but here's a preview: Sonic Legends - Lunar Paradise Zone

It's a game inspired by the Classic Series but with additional elements inspired by Sonic Adventure and Sonic Advance.

"Sonic and Tails fly away from Angel Island leaving the events of Sonic 3 and Knuckles behind, Destined for a relaxation session Sonic decide's to go to Paradise Island, A place where the grass is always green and lush and the stars shine through both day and night.

As the Tornado glides over the top of the fast flowing river, Sonic leaps off the plane and lands on the edge of a cliff. He faces Tails and gives him a farewell wave as the Tornado flies away into the distance...

Welcome to the Lunar Paradise Zone the start of the adventure. The start of the Legend."

I have an early build in the Sonic Dash engine but plan on moving to Sonic Worlds, I'm going to use Sonic Worlds Delta v.1.3 but what Extensions and version of MMF2 do I need? I'm having some problems opening the engine up.

@DarkchaoX10

Aside from sonic's sprite and a few re-used graphics from the original games, it's all me.

@Aizen90

actually, there's more variety inside the dome them outside of it. which only has about 2 different buildings.

@Betaman

I was going to try that but ya know... too hard... takes too much time...

I got really bored today, and got the random idea to try and recreate the space colony ARK in minecraft. Just finished the nose of the ARK.

HAqBN26.png

Is it big enough yet?

Edit: Just read lake's guide to worlds. I'm not gonna lie, it helped me to a miniscule amount. Reason being, I learned worlds by myself like, 95% of the way. I wish I had known about it when I first got MMF2 and worlds, I would probably have a 3 stage demo (with 2 acts each) already. So, if your new to this whole fangaming thing, I highly recommend checking it out if your using worlds. But, I warn you, have a very good understanding of MMF2 before you start. Seems like it would be quite a bit complicated if you were brand new to MMF2.

Anyone want to help me make an online-multiplayer game in MMF2? Or at the very least, give me pointers on how to create compelling puzzle-game AI?

No takers, but I managed to pull through with the basics anyway. Here's a demonstration video of my puzzle-fighter game, complete with barebones AI.

I haven't posted anything here in a few weeks, so let me drop this out of nowhere.

I've been working on a Kirby engine in Multimedia Fusion 2 this last 3 weeks, and i'm probably 10% done with it.

Even though i'm a noob at MMF2, i think i did a pretty good job so far.

I pretty much looked at the entire Sonic Worlds engine, and started to build the kirby engine somewhat from scratch, even though... i copied some lines of code of Sonic Worlds there and there, hehe :3

It pretty much works similar to Sonic Worlds in terms of editing and structure.

but it's obviously a Kirby Engine. So ladies and gentlemen, i present to you (in screenshots) Kirby Engine Without A Name.

Jumping lacks lots of momentum, but it's doing it's function.

02.PNG

Hmm, what is this strange thing?

03.PNG

It's a generic active object! in other words, an "enemy" more specifically a Waddle Doo.

04.PNG

Let's try to inhale that thing.

005.png

Yay! i got a jester hat that does NOTHING AT ALL! (yet)

06.PNG

This is still only 3 weeks old, so it's pretty much in its early childhood.

I also want to make this engine "open for everyone to use" since there are not many Kirby fangames out there, and since this franchise has a lot of fan-ideas potential (like a abilities and stuff), this might work out.

OBJECTION!! you are using Sonic Worlds because of the green "Base Level" tiles!!!11!!

No.

They are actually pretty convenient for testing, so i borrowed them from Worlds.

What do you think? should i finish it? (Woah, that was a long post, can anyone tell me how to make spoilers?)

I'm impressed! I myself have been working on a vectorman engine, but it is nowhere near ready to reveal. If you don't know what vectorman is, pick up a decent genesis emulator and a rom and create childhood memories that you never had. (depending on how old you are, I have no idea.)

Cool man. I made a full Kirby engine in MMF last year, but lost everything I had done in a computer upgrade (Stupid of me not to back up the file...), but I recently re-did it in Game Maker. I think you should keep going. Kirby is one of those characters who just doesn't have random fan games and engines laying around. And since you are a beginner to MMF, it'll be a good experience.

I do know what vectorman is. Anyways, i've never seen anyone attempting to do a Vectorman Engine, that's really unusual, but i wish you good luck my friend. thank you for liking my Kirby engine BTW :D
