  1. Sonic MAX is an open-source Sonic engine made in GameMaker Studio. The main purpose with this engine is to be as accurate as possible to the classic Genesis games, while allowing for as much customization as possible. Sonic MAX is designed to be efficient and easy to use with many flags for changing certain aesthetics. Sonic MAX is open for anyone to contribute or help out. Sonic MAX is made to be very efficient, easy to use, and can be exported for many different platforms, with an initial development time of 500+ hours, over the course of 6 months.   2. Hurrah for my first thread. Christian Whitehead recently tweeted that SEGA is not expressing interest in making a Taxman (Christian's screen name, btw) remake of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. This sucks because the Sonic 1, 2, and CD remakes are the definitive versions of their respective games. And imagine what would have happened if Christian remade S3&K, it would be beautiful (oh and it would be fun to play too, i guess). However, there is a possibility of this still being made. We need to tell SEGA that we want S3&K remade by Christian, and support them by buying the remakes Christian has made. Now, you don't have to do this (why the hell you wouldn't is beyond me), but it would be very much appreciated, so we can get one of the best Sonic games recreated with great features, steady framerate, and possibly some bonuses! Also, you can carry that shit in your pockets!
  3. Welcome to the Sonic Advance 4 OST! An Awesome fanmade soundtrack (i'm sure you'll love), made as a tribute to SEGA, Wavemaster, even Hideki Naganuma (for some minor Sonic Rush/JSR/F elements in some songs) and the composers of Sonic Advance 1, 2, 3, Battle & Pinball Party! The soundtrack is created by me, featuring many many other artists who've contributed, such as Shirojyuu, DJ Max-E, Charles Ritz! It was all due to curiosity; when I got my hands on the sonic advance soundfonts, I thought "hmm what if there was a 4th instalment to the Sonic Advance series, what would the soundtrack be like?" and thus, this project was born, which will be available for download in the near future! This is basically what's gonna happen - There are 2 Acts & a Map theme for each zone - like Sonic Advance 3 (just without the 3rd act lol.) There is also a Map theme for Central City - which is the main hub (it's a "preperation before starting a level" hub) The official album art of the OST, but it's a work in progress. ^ The old album art but it still looks nice ^ Please, if you love the OST, be sure to share it around with people!
  4. Sonic vs Darkness - True Nightmare Revived Powered by Sol Engine V2 on Game Maker 8.0 Introducing a Sonic fan game titled Sonic vs Darkness - True Nightmare Revived created by yours truly. Sonic vs Darkness T.N.R. is a remake of my very first Sonic fan game Sonic vs Darkness, which began as a sprite-animated Sonic series project on YouTube. This fan game features two playable characters Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Hedgehog, and 7 different stages inspired by the stages from the original fan game. The game will also feature comic-style cut-scenes that appear as you progress through the game. You are also able to purchase power-ups & shields from the Item Shop while in the HUB Area. Like the original version, the gameplay style is inspired by modern Sonic games Sonic Rush and Sonic Unleashed. Including Super Smash Brothers Melee/Brawl (All-Star Mode).   8. The project is now named: "Sonic 4: Episode ME" ! Storyline concept: After his defeat in the Death Egg MK.II Dr. Robotnik realized his big mistake. He was using an unmobile, huge, slow space station. Now he finally build his greates Station yet. The small but fast Egg Missle is home to his newest Weapon of Mass Destruction: The Egg Laser. To power the Laser Robotnik uses the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Their power he transmitted into his Mecha Emarald, a robotic copy of the Master Emerald. In order to finally take over the world, Robotnik fled to the Northern Island, an island Sonic has never been to. Sonic arrives half a year after Robotnik, who was almost finished with setting up his great skemes and traps. The game is supposed to be a spiritual successor to Sonic 4 and is set on a different island than any of the games before. I called this island Northern Island. This island is home to 18 Zones, that I'll list here. Zone 1: Egg Missle XS Zone The game begins with: the final battle on Robotnik's Missle? But something ain't quite right with the ol' Doc... Zone 2: Roblimbnik Act 1 This is his flying fortress of the week, equiped with his personal jet, a laser and chicken-artillery. Zone 3: Leaf Plains Zone What would be a Sonic game without a Green-HIll type of level. It's pretty basic, nothing to hard, even the number of death-pits is balanced (yes, only for YOU). It also introduces the "3D-Ramp" from Sonic CD which I used a lot in these layouts. Zone 4: Dusty Desert Zone All abort the uncreative-name train, this'll be a long ride... A simble Wild West based stage. Mostly created to pay homage to both Dust Hill and Desert Dazzle while including elements of Sunset Park. Zone 5: Tidal Ruins Zone The water zone... Based of Aquatic Ruins with a small dose of Water Palace. Everything is round up with a bit of Castlevania: Bloodlines Stage 2 "Atlantis Shrine". Zone 6: Volcanic Mines Zone Imagine Underground Zone, Mystic Cave Zone, Lava Reef Zone Act 1 and Endless Mine Zone in one. This here basiclly comes out. Zone 7: Bright Night Zone Casino Night had the golden design, Casino Paradise the purple one. Casino Night in the beta was pink. I don't know which of the colors I'm going for, but it's still going to be a fully fleged out Casino/Carneval Zone. Zone 8: Frozen Shocked Before burning down Speed City, Robotnik wanted to test his old climate changing Mashine from Mushroom Hill. It apperently works. So tell me what you think and if you'd like to help me creating a game out of these ideas. I'd need a composer and a scipter for SonicWorldsDelta >1.2 If nobody's gonna help, I'll still keep on working with SW0.5 and make more ideas. Edit1-4: Something uninteresting...   9. im a real newb when it comes to spriting but i need help, i want to add the billboards and signs from sa2b in City Escape to my fangame Sonic Classic: Emerald Emmissary but i SUCK at spriting! so i was wonder if someone could sprites those billboards and signs in a 16 bit styles, ive managed to uncover the "Chaos Soda" Billboard, but i want them all for a full eperience, also by signs i meant both the signs and wanted posters. For those who don't know I started a fan game remake of the Master System and Game Gear version of Sonic the hedgehog and I revealed the project at SAGE 2014 Act 1. Now that Sage is over (or at least the forum topic's gone) I'm making a proper topic for the game. Cheats In the demo there are currently around 9 cheats, 8 of them can be activated on the tile screen (where you're character pops out from behind the banner) and 1 can be activated on the disclaimer screen. So im working on an engine called the Classic Sonic Engine and im working on multiplayer(2-4 players max) but the problem is setting the controls because ive added a system that allows the players to choose their characters and they can have seperate and custom controls(usings options from main menu) but when i play it ALL the players have same controls. How can i fix this? Btw im using the Sonic Revival Engine 3.0 and i fixed the bugs in it also.

I am proudly introducing a Sonic fan game titled Sonic Game Land. This fan game powered by Sonic Revival Engine and made on Game Maker 8.0 is featuring six playable characters, five game modes and four different stages along with gameplay inspired by Sonic Riders, Sonic Rivals and Sonic R. Yes, this is racing platformer with laps feature. Storyline is inspired from Sonic Colors. I really enjoyed this game while watching footages on YouTube and actually playing it via Dolphin emulator. Here is briefing of storyboard: “Have you ever wondered what role the “Game Land” planetoid in Sonic Colors plays? Why it has form like Sonic’s face? Where the Sonic Simulator are really from? Maybe Dr. Eggman has created the planetoid as a plan “B”? You’ll find all the answers in a new story, coming soon, about many, many hedgehogs!” So on, I'm want to tell more about Game Land and Robo-Hedgehogs. Story started after events of Sonic Colors, where planet Game Land (Sonic Simulator) came back to the orbit of Mobius. Seriously, I looked into old videos from SAGE and facepalmed yourself for a many times. Fortunately, game already has received followers and reviews that allowed me to improve it in many ways. I felt like that my idea with racing concept is really working. I have returned to SAGE in 2014 and won a bit more attention. I was very glad about it. In addition, SGL became as entry ticket to Sonic community. I really appreciate all what I got during the development of the game – art, friends and especially music. And I am don’t mind to get more help. If you have advices or suggestions – leave them below. If you found bugs – report them here. If you want to help with sprites, codes or music – let me know.   14. Hey people. So, I'm sorry to say, but I am an extremist homing attack-supporter, I don't know why. Safe to say, I've never played Sonic 06 in my life, so I don't know of the worst the homing attack has to offer. I'm trying to do the thing you see in the Hedgehog Engine where the target overlays on a nearby object when you're in the air. I have the WIP code as shown below, but nothing shows up in the game. Any advice? Thanks~

Metal Sonic Hyperdrive is a heavy modification of Sonic the Hedgehog by Darkon360/GothicReaper/LoneDevil for the Sega Genesis. with brand new Zones, New Music, Extra playable characters, and Modes. Starting Metal Sonic, taking Sonic's role as the main protagonist to stop Dr'Robotnik's greatest inventions yet. Also starting special guests such as Kirby, and Somari.   21. I would like to start off this topic by saying thank you to everyone who played Sonic Adventure Emerald at SAGE 2014 Act 2! I got a lot of good reception from the critics (especially Sonic United XD) and this has been the best SAGE yet for me. So the main nitpicks I received were faults with the graphics, controls, level design and such. While I did mostly modify the source engine by myself (with some coding ported from the Sonic Fan Dev Engine), I have to admit I'm not an advanced spriter or coder. I can code basic things but other than that .-. So I'm looking for these kinds of people for assistance on firstly, my current project Sonic Adventure Emerald and then a Classic Sonic game I have in mind. But this...this has some hard evidence. Deefy at SEGABits discovered that SEGA of Europe trademarked the title "Sonic Lost Worlds" within the past couple of days.
