  1. Hurrah for my first thread. Christian Whitehead recently tweeted that SEGA is not expressing interest in making a Taxman (Christian's screen name, btw) remake of Sonic 3 & Knuckles. This sucks because the Sonic 1, 2, and CD remakes are the definitive versions of their respective games. And imagine what would have happened if Christian remade S3&K, it would be beautiful (oh and it would be fun to play too, i guess). However, there is a possibility of this still being made. We need to tell SEGA that we want S3&K remade by Christian, and support them by buying the remakes Christian has made. Now, you don't have to do this (why the hell you wouldn't is beyond me), but it would be very much appreciated, so we can get one of the best Sonic games recreated with great features, steady framerate, and possibly some bonuses! Also, you can carry that shit in your pockets!
  2. Update: Votes are over for the name so I'll be referring to this as well as the sequel to Sonic 8-bit Remake, Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for the name. For those who don't know I started a fan game remake of the Master System and Game Gear version of Sonic the hedgehog and I revealed the project at SAGE 2014 Act 1. Now that Sage is over (or at least the forum topic's gone) I'm making a proper topic for the game. Some of these changes are - Chaos emeralds hidden in their original places in classic mode. - Bigger levels in Remix mode as well as being more so inspired by the classic mode layouts. - Race mode implementation - Jungle and Labyrinth Zone Classic mode - Green Hill and Bridge Zone Remixed mode - Refined option screen - Full Game pad support (Game pad currently only works in game play) - More accurate sounds and better music (Big thanks to Mr_Lange for helping me on this one.) Cheats In the demo there are currently around 9 cheats, 8 of them can be activated on the tile screen (where you're character pops out from behind the banner) and 1 can be activated on the disclaimer screen.   3. GoodAfternoon. I am Pulse0 and this is my proposal for a project called Sonic R (2014) or what ever year it gets done. Ive always been at ends with wich fan-game I should make Starfox or Sonic. I am a very abitious person so even now if i could i'd like to find a way to actually force this game in to the official zone but for now its just at fan game Pre-Production, since i dont have a team but that enough of intros. ------------------------------- (2014) Is a racing project fan game aimed at redoing (not remaking) the original game and making footracing game for the sonic franchise. Sonic has always had moments of competing on foot, in a vs mode but I want to translate that into a full game. This game intends to use low poly models, and non proscessor heavy effects like bloom. dispite the memory this game should be runable on an N64 or PSP if need be. Reason being is to... To bring back the lost art of old games. Allow older less powerfull computers to play. Faster Model out put More things can be tossed In. This game intends to be fully 3d, simialr to Sonic3d blast (saturn) Special stage, Sonic Jam over world, Sonic R (original), Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heros, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). Hence No 2d The game will have various modes including those belonging to both the lost age of racing genre and modern racing such as... Lap Elimination Check Point Race Tournament Knockout Team Race Boost race Sonic R (2014) is intended to power-ups and keep things fun, like Mario-kart. A Ring system, for extras, A very simple story and local split screen. As well as branching paths and secrets and and Granprix mode, in tribute to the original. -------------------------- As those are all great to think about I need help to put it into action. For a director without staff sucks. Im not here as a helpless patron asking for people to do all the work for me while I just give directions. I will also be the Lead Artist, trying to cook up assets for the game. but I still need team members. All though out my planing this game is intended to be made in Unity. An engine made from the ground up to suit the needs of this game. I feel it more accessible and easier for me to work with to import assets. Ive seen the Blitz and the FreeRunner engine and I'm not pleased at all. I don't want this made in the UDK, this is a Unity project. With that said I need... CODERS: my biggest problem is not knowing how to code at all, so with out coders this game wont happen. Ideally at minimum I would LIKE 3 coders but I NEED at least 1! Modelers/Riggers/Animators/Texture Artist: If your a rigger fine, if you can animate fine, but if you can MODEL 3d objects GREAT!! Much of the content depends on simply having the model. For the time being with no staff I will be doing all that myself but, being in the production of Super Smash Flash 2 i KNOW i need additional people to help with this. 2 extra hands would be more than I could wish for, the more the merrier. ( Maya, 3D Max, or Blender Modelers please! Maya would be best since I use Maya2011) Concept Artist : I will be doing this too but again the more the merrier! ----- Ive been dreaming about a game like this since the release of Sonic Adventure 2. I have tons of ideas, and things i'd love to see happen but i need a team or at least a coder. . . . . As for Images. . . . I will add some concepts and mock up of the direction im pulling for in a few days so look back here if your interested. I posted this now to know if I have a possible do or a dud on my plate after years of obsessing over the idea.
  4. Hey people! I just finished the version 1 of the remake of Sonic World. Here below some pics and a small video footage. After some feedback, I could track and correct some stuff needed before posting a topic. Unfortunatelly I coudn't go after all issues now. But they will be in list for version 2, with the interiors, missions and some small things that I coudnt do now, since I have some imediate work to do this month and go back to my official project, SSH, that will be footaged still this year and will be in next year Sage with some levels. Everyone can expect something big in this other project, since it is a big headache to make it! If I not go with Sonic World to this Sage, is due to some inexplicable problems to make executables in my PC, I tried everything, formatting, reinstalling UDK, several configs, I must be doing something wrong. Well, here it goes:

So if anyone has any suggestions, questions, bug reports, or you want to leave feedback make a post here and I will respond as best I can. and since this is my first introduction to the community here, Hello I'm Renhoek I've made many fan projects and I'm a huge Sonic fan, I've spent years trying to create a Sonic fangame and after many attempts I've decided to remake sonic 1 8-bit. I hope everyone who played the demo had fun. And now I want to see how clever this community is. There's a total of 8 secrets that can be activated on the title screen and 1 Easter egg that can be activated at the disclaimer screen. I'll give a small hint for each cheat discovered. As for the first cheat it can be found in the screenshots at the SAGE booth.
  6. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 HD is an unofficial fan remake of the 1992 SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive classic Sonic the Hedgehog 2 using up to date graphics with a few new novelty features here and there. The graphics have been completely remastered in pure HD. Also new features planned were online multiplayer, playable Knuckles, and a few extra levels. It looks fantastic and it plays fantastic. It's one of the best fan games I have played. It's really a shame that it was cancelled. It had a lot of potential. If you wish to try out the demo yourself, click here.
