  1. Hey all. It's your neighborhood accuracy-freak, Poe. This is the "release" thread for the latest edition of Sonic Worlds, version 1.5.2. This version is affectionately known as, "The Accuracy Update", because a lot of work has been put in to make it feel much more like the original Genesis/Mega Drive titles. Most of this accuracy work has been done by myself, as well as Ikey Ilex. Ikey Ilex has done an awesome job of refining these improvements, and making them much more efficient. If you're knee deep in your fan-game development using worlds, now is the time to port and upgrade to this version. Download it now! [29.9MB][7z] Some other noticeable additions include Shadow the Hedghog, sporting a shiny Modern-Sonic Moveset. Shadow was originally implement by me, however he was greatly improved and refined by BlazeHedgehog. Be sure to thank him for that extra polish! When Shadow was implemented, I just wanted this version of worlds out of the door, so the quality wasn't exactly great. Massive thanks to him. Shadow's homing attack code was made by the one-and-only Damizean. Another notable contributor is Mr Lange, who made huge audio improvements, added true 3-button support, and greatly improved the Badnik code. Major thanks to him for these much-needed improvements! The last thing to mention is the new Debug mode. This was the last feature I added. Unfortunately, a lot of the stuff I added towards the end of my time with Sonic Worlds was hastily implemented, because I was ready to be done with and move on from MMF2. Unfortunately, debug mode is one of the things that suffered from my haste. Object placement exists, but it is messy and incomplete. However, the meat and potatoes of the debug mode is the value list. When debug mode is enabled, you can see just about every important value on screen at once. This includes your inputs, and the player's speed values. I hope you find this useful, as I sure did. With that, it's time to bid Sonic Worlds as you know it in Fusion farewell, as this is its final release. It's come a ridiculously long way over the years, with a plethora of contributors, and many memories made with new friends through its collaboration. I'm pretty damn happy I got to be a part of it. Now, don't get sad and sentimental just yet. The Worlds "branding" will live on in the future... Before you go, I highly recommend reading Techokami's post on Sonic Retro, as it goes into much more detail than I do here. Give it a read, please!
  2. First of all, I didn't even know there was an "Act 2" version of the 16 bit Sugar Splash music. And it sounds awesome. Anyways, the part from 0:07 to 0:014 in Sugar Splash sounds quite similar to 0:39 in this:
  3. I got Construct 2 for Christmas. My parents know what's up.

  4. Here's a video about my side project, a recreation of Five Nights at Freddy's.
  5. Quote of the year 2014 Could not be more true
  6. Meh, this thread is old I guess, but let's start it again or something. Tbh, I'm not all that into anime, but I've seen a decent amount. You have not lived life until you've seen Summer Wars. It's a movie, so you have almost no excuse to not watch it. Just find it, it's on the internet somewhere. The english dub actually isn't all that bad, so pick whatever floats your goat when it comes to the translations.
  7. The thing that has my interest is White Void Guy
  8. I agree with Zigzax 100%. Enemy placement is one of the most important parts of level design, and you should focus on it as you construct a level.
  9. Dang, that Guilty Gear game looks gooooood I've never even heard of it
  10. Don't forget Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car The game sucks, but it's super nostalgic to me since a local Chuck-E-Cheeses somehow had one when I was a kid. It's legit my favorite sonic game.
  11. I freaking loved battle for bikini bottom.
  12. Most of us here know about Vectorman because of Gems collection. (I had it on actual hardware) It's one of my favorite games of all time. A decent amount of us know about the Puyo Puyo series because of Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. This game is the only one I imagine people around here WOULDN'T know about: While I like the game so much because of nostalgia, the game is legitimately good to a degree. I highly recommend picking it up if at all possible. I'd also like to mention Fire Emblem. Not enough people play that, it's a good series. I'm also unsure if Rocket Knight Adventures is considered obscure or not, but that's worth mentioning as well.
  13. I've already said this before around here somewhere, but here's the gist: I owe myself to sonic, and I owe my future to sonic. Sounds kind of weird, but it's true. If it weren't for sonic 2 and the air speed cap, I would have probably never been interested in the way games work. I wouldn't be here, and I probably wouldn't have a future ahead of me. I probably would have stuck to art and music, instead of combining those in my work.
  14. Yea, I was at the store today and I picked up both games. Then I put them back down on the shelf in disgust.
  15. I've been playing the Fire Emblem games. They are like, AMAZING. Like, play them. The series is severely underrated. It needs to be more popular than it is. As someone who has a really hard time getting into RPGs of any kind, (I've had Pokemon Ruby for like 8 years and I'm only on the 5th gym) the series is fun and easy to get into. Just play it. one of the GBA games is on the Wii U virtual console for like 8 USD. That one is a little easier than some of the other fire emblem games, so i reccomend that to get started. Awakening is good too, get it before it falls into obscurity and costs 60 dollars like path of radiance does now.
  16. Oh yea, I use the whole portable console thing a LOT I was in a Smash tourney last Sunday, and I brought my Wii U and the Gamepad to use to practice while waiting. I've taken it to school and held mini-tourneys before. Like, I've brought my Wii U plenty of places and used the gamepad as a TV. It's amazing. Just throw the gamepad into a laptop bag and bring a controller or 2 and take it anywhere.
  17. THEY MADE A PUYO PUYO 3DS THEME IN JAPAN I AM SO JEALOUS

  18. Dang, someone took Lucina 6... I'll do villager since it's pretty much impossible to dash dance on the 3DS version... (Wish this was Wii U...) Mobi/4184-3024-4750/North America/US/EST/Villager/6 Meh, I'm not too sure about the setup, but whatever.
  19. Lol, i agree with the whole official sega product thing, I didn't really know what else to say.
