  1. So if you've been around long enough, you'll remember I used to host a small site that literally had every Sonic cartoon episode produced up to that point online for download. I guess this stemmed from the fact that I was the geeky kid who used to VHS record SatAM and AoStH back in the day before they were in syndication. I like to preserve memories. A little history... I was one of the losers responsible for hopping on WinMX and downloading whatever episode of Sonic X aired that week in Japan and then distributed it to the fan-subbers on IRC. This was way before the days of BitTorrent when filesharing was still done via direct P2P. It was sort of... exclusive? You had to earn the trust of the other party because broadband internet was still new and bandwidth was a hot commodity. Anyway, without getting too long-winded here, I discarded all those files years ago. I thought I had burned them to data DVDs but I guess in my various moves around the East Coast, they got tossed because, hey, fuck Sonic, right? I want them back and I need help. If you can actually assist me, please private message me and we'll discuss this in detail there. As I've gotten older, I kind of miss having those files now, especially since a 1 TB hard drive would be more than enough to store it and that shit's dirt cheap. Plus, with the advent of social media (FB, Twitter, etc), web forums and fansites have sort of become... defunct? Torrent websites are worthless because people stopped seeding this shit years ago. I want to preserve these files properly. I think they deserve that much, eh? Sure, they're shitty cartoons, but to those that can remember waking up at 9am to watch ABC in the early 90s... maybe you'll see my point of view.
  2. Really? That's funny. Next time just PM or Tweet me - I think I get emails instantly and I rarely check here.
  3. I used to host a website that had all these videos in the (at the time) highest quality available. No clue what i did with the files, but I think they're long gone Maybe AJ has the RealVideo files sitting around somewhere from SSN ;P
  4. Because 2013 Ernie is on a diet that wont let him.
  5. So... I got this a few weeks ago and have only dug thru about 5% of it so far. I honestly was expecting shitloads of pictures and big fonts, but jeez oh man they shoved a lot into each page. Amazon URL: http://www.amazon.com/History-Sonic-Hedgehog-Entertainment-Corp/dp/1926778561 I'm not going to lie, I know just about everything in this book so far. As I got older, I don't know much about the production or even the story of Unleashed, Colors, etc. But when I saw this popup for presale back in October-ish, I nabbed it right away. Most of my friends that come over know about my unhealthy obsession with Sonic. I mean, I drove around a shitty V6 Mustang with a license plate that said GOTRING on it. 2013 Ernie would want to kill 2004 Ernie. (2013 Ernie also loves Twitter, what a loser!) Anyway, the book sits there on my coffee table and when people come over, they of course make a joke, but pick it up and are blown away by the shit that's crammed in there. They probably don't get 90% of it and quite frankly, that's OK with me. The fact that they're reliving part of their childhood for a few brief moments is what counts. Anyway, lots of cool art, lots of cool stories, and a def most-own for Sonic fans. This is coming from the kid who used to sit on WinMX until the asscrack of dawn to download SonicX rips from Japan pirates. Trust me, solid read. Only 1000 are being printed in English.
  6. Without getting into political opinions on government spending, lets do some quick math. (500,000,000 / 2,469,000,000,000) = 0.02025% That's 2/100 of a percent of the federal income in 2012. Yes, there was a 1 trillion dollar defecit, but that's still less than half a point. It's chump change I'm not saying there's better things to be doing with that money, but really, shit the fuck up.
  7. Here's what I found (funny it's the same site I used to use back in the day) Http://sonicology.fateback.com/hacks/sonicrpc/index.html Not sure of the Saturn structure. Probably completely different and without a boot disc I doubt you could burn the edited textures to a CD and play it.
  8. It's late and I'm on an iPhone but what up 360 haven't seen you in forever. Great read and clears the air over a few things I (barely) remember about his game dev. I do remember being on the MGX site and seeing a large CANCELED image on Chaomega. Ps - I still to this day pronounce it "chao-mega", not "Kay-omega".
  9. Not bad; dated. Smudge coded that shit from scratch before a lot of existing web frameworks existed. He basically made a content submission portal using nothing but what we now would call Web 1.5 tech. Can it be better? Duh. Does it really need to be? No. No one goes thru the site to download Ninja's mega packs anymore because they too are dated! I don't mean graphically... I mean if there's even an extension from the CNC days of Clickteam used, good luck finding it for the new versions of MMF and TGF. (BTW, I'm still better than that prick Ninja)
  10. I always loved searching for things like this back in the day. I suggest dicking around with those weird files in Paint Shop Pro. You had the ability to open RAW files in all crazy ways to see sprites and textures. I had lots of luck with Sonic R back in the day. Also, unsure if you remember when Rlan maintained SOST, which was basically a website full of stuff like this. Check it out (although its not maintained anymore) sost.emulationzone.org
  11. Stumble was ok, but not as good as last years. Not sure if you would have enjoyed it, TBH. Ty, good to see you! Those are funny and the guy even made these: www.etsy.com/listing/52211356/red-mario-mushroom-earrings I have (had) a few Sonic neck ties in my parents house. My old room flooded pretty bad from Sandy so not sure if they survived. If I find them ill take some pics.
