Sonic Movie Delayed Until 2019

No new news about the previously announced upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie, a live action/3D CGI adaption of Sonic the Hedgehog (not to be confused with the 1996 OVA) was announced a few years ago. Now we have received some new news, however it looks like there’s more waiting for those who wanted to see it, as it has now been delayed to 2019 while a 2018 release was originally planned.

The Sonic movie will be directed by Deadpool’s Tim Miller. No news of cast or further updates of production has been announced to the public yet, though it seems obvious to assume that the current series’ voice cast of the Sonic characters will be voicing the main roles of the characters for the movie (as they did in 2012’s Wreck it Ralph).

SEGA has been appearing to delay a lot of their content recently. Are you disappointed about the delay? Do you still want to see the movie when it comes out? Let us know in the comments!
