Classic Sonic Games are Being Removed from Nintendo’s Virtual Console in Japan

Apparently in Japan a few Sonic titles available on the Wii Virtual Console are going to be removed before the month’s end. This news comes from the Japanese website Inside-Games and the games being taken down are Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic the Hedgehog (Master System).

It’s unknown whether or not these games will be removed from the American and European Virtual Console or if any other Sonic titles will be removed. Also reasons for the removal of these titles is currently unknown.
